This raises the question: Could there have been enough time to save one or more of the victims if the others had called 911 immediately?
Not according to the coroner. She told Kaylee's dad that the wounds were so severe that even if someone had called 911 right away it wouldn't have saved them.
Apparently, they called their friends first. I get the impression that their friends lived nearby and could be there very quickly.
Maybe one day we'll find out why they did things the way that they did them. My guess is that they were scared and in shock.
Imagine going upstairs in your house, seeing the sliding door wide open on a frigid day and seeing blood on the carpet, maybe drips of blood and bloody footprints. Your first reaction would probably be to get the heck away from it, not to investigate it. You might call some friends over to help you figure out what in the heck had happened.
I agree. They also couldn't be 100% certain the killer was no longer in the house, so they call friends nearby who can be there with them in 30 seconds, because they are scared being there alone. Once they feel safe, they call 911.
All I'm saying, is we haven't heard the 911 call, only quoted excerpts from it.
And the quotes we've heard indicate the girls were calling to report someone who was "passed out" and "unresponsive".
I'm not the one saying the 911 call indicated the body was a roommate.
Where are you claiming we have heard quoted excerpts from the 911 call? I don't recall any official excerpts from that call. If it's from some Youtuber or some online sleuth site, I wouldn't trust it to be real at all. But I think it needs to be clarified.

Exactly.
I think there's been some paraphrasing going on in the legit news sources of what was said, but no direct quotes.
