Default Is it just me?

Have I been away too long from El Paso to know any better, or does Juarez have more modern architectural buildings than El Paso?

Juarez has improved since the 80s for sure, this is nothing like I remember Juarez. I left El Paso in 1980, but have returned many times, but never ventured into Juarez but one, or two times since.

There has been a lot of construction over the last years and industry keeps coming. Juarez gets a lot of bad rap for obvious reasons, but it is still a very industrous city and becoming more cultural and greener and modern. It is too bad that Americans only get to see the worst side of Juarez when driving by UTEP on the I-10. If only they knew that there are MUCH NICER areas than those that can only see on the freeway.

Without these pictures I would've never known it was that pretty. From 1-10 it looks ugly and unbreathable.

Default Great pics!

I agree, those photos can be mistaken for any US city. I do recall the border, if they could only move, or condemn those neighborhoods, and rebuild, perhaps with public highrise towers even, that would do wonders for that part of the border.

Thanks for the photos, I never would have known.

Highrise + next to border = a wave of gliding illegals through the air. But yeah I agree. It's really bad right across from Utep. I mean, it looks really rough right there and it's really close. Would be nice if it had nicer homes because the landscape with the hills is beautiful.

It's just a real real shame Mexico's government sux so bad. But then again if it was really nice across the border property taxes would be 2x as high.
