He's pretty kooky so he'd fit right in with the Democrats.

Almost all of the kooky conspiracies are coming from the right-wing these days.

Like what?

The "conspiracy" that entitlement programs and never-ending debt are unsustainable?

The Democrat kooks continue to think that if only government spends more and more money that it doesn't have, things will improve. Pure insanity, but understandable if your only goal is to force dependency on the people, forcing them to vote for you to keep the gravy train flowing.

Of course. The only thing that matters to most people is the letter behind their names "D" or "R". Perry used to have "D", and now he has "R", but only "R"s support him at this time. If he still sported the "D", then the "R"s obviously would not support him.

Actually he is viewed as a hard right nutcase by most of the media. The good thing is most Americans are waking up to the nonsense the media spews.

I would rather vote for a principled person with whom I disagree with on some issues (Ron Paul) versus a dishonest politician that claims to represent my views.

For me, it comes down to integrity of character and having convictions, not necessarily how closely aligned the candidate is with my personal beliefs. I would respect a lot more politicians that I don't necessarily agree with if they were only honest and true to their convictions.

Labels are mere human constructs.

It's pretty hard to say really, if he were a Democrat he would be hated for a lot of the views he has since they go directly against the victim mentality and gimmiegrant class that Democrats have created... but if Ron Paul were black and a Democrat he'd get a lot more lefty support.

I think Ron Paul has some great points. I don't agree with all he says, and he is hard to put into a category. Ron is different and speaks his mind in a deep level.

His left wing stance is hurting him with the republicans.. I do agree that the wars are draining us and I agree with that as a conservative. Ron Paul makes alot of sense and many do agree with his stand on many things regarding the economy. He is kind of kooky but with that comes much truth.

Labels don't matter. If he was running as a Democrat (in fact too bad he isn't-- think of how many who voted for Obama and were let down could then happily vote for Ron Paul this time without having to re-register in the primaries).

True he is a real "Republican" but most Americans think being a Republican (in spite of the conservative foreign policy Bush first ran on) means policing the world and being at constant war. That is what today's people-in-the-republican-party seem to want. They are the RINOS - Republicans In Name Only.
