Who ended up being held accountable for the shutdown? Those 80 democrats that lost their career politician job, that is who?

According to 2014, the shutdown is the direction the people wanted it to go.
Well I disagree with you, I don't think the shutdown had any effect on the 2014 elections.

Quite an assumption you are making, to make that, you have to think the shutdown was a big factor in the 2014 elections, which it was not. I don't recall that being something politicians were campaigning on, nor do I recall that being a big issue among voters.

The shutdown and the 80 democrats losing their jobs, was the same mandate.
Progressive politics has been exposed as the cancer of the nation.
It will not be tolerated much longer.

If you say so, the shutdown had nothing to do with the elwction, the Democrats that lost, lost for more present reasons. But if it makes it easier for you to understand, then sure, the 2014 election was all about a shutdown that happened a year earlier because American voters don't have a short term memory when it comes to voting.

How could Americans place the party that shutdown the government, in power of the purse and the laws, telling the top cop to take a hike.

And yet they did in 2014 by electing Republicans, that goes to show the shutdown had no effect on the 2014 election.

Is that what you're saying?
In the end, I guess the people spoke and held the person responsible for the shutdown, responsible.
Bye, Harry Reid. Hello Mitch McConnell.

Looks to me like it was the push to wake the nation up and the republicans to choose a constitutional conservative, to take seats in the Senate.

We all learned, if republicans wanted a progressive, they would be democrats.
Presidential elections are the only ones where their is a national vote count. Senate elections are individual vs individual.

The nation didnt do anything, individual states did. there were 21 Democrats up for re election 12 won, 9 lost. If the nation had did what you claimed, those numbers would be closer to 3/18 or 0/21.
