So, if someone is involved in a clearly ILLEGAL act, they should not be punished? Wake up! Trump was asked IF ABORTION WAS ILLEGAL. What about ILLEGAL confuses you?

I do know how it works. The media person asked a question as to IF ABORTION WAS ILLEGAL which it isn't and Trump answered off the top of his head. There was no reason for him to be ready to answer that question since it would years before an answer would be needed. Babies will continue to be slaughtered for some time yet.

Not a delusion. Hope you can handle it when he wins.

Abortion isn't illegal. The question was stupid in the first place. If overturned, it would years away. I think rather than women sitting around being worried about not being able to get an abortion, they should be thinking about how to avoid needing one. Sixty years ago, with very barbaric type methods of birth control, families were limiting their family size to 2 or 3 children while being sexually active and fertile for probably at least 30 years. I don't if people have become more irresponsible, lazy or stupid.............

I'm not sure if polls have been done, but if they were and you're right, then this is merely: argumentum ad populum.

And has no bearing on anything except, you can say, feasibility.

I would think that a person who wants to inflict a legal punishment someone for something might want to actually "look into" it - since I am quite sure you would rightfully squall if some punishment were inflicted on you by someone who hadn't "looked into" it.
Well, are we going to be serious about enforcing the law or not?

We punish underage drinkers - not too severely but we do punish them. I would say getting an 'illegal' abortion is more severe than drinking underage.

My morals, I think abortion is morally wrong and I don't like to be around people who get abortions, preform abortions, or even who are unabashed about defending it. But at the end of the day, the libertarian in me tells me it should be legal but that still doesn't stop me from judging.

A man cannot force a woman to get an abortion, just as he cannot force a woman to keep the unborn child, so even if he's encouraging he's not breaking the law, the woman is by getting an illegal abortion and I guess the person giving her an abortion is also breaking the law.

So your 'beef' is the legality/illegality' of abortions, Trump just said a truism. If you break the law = you get punished.

Sorry if someone already pointed out the obvious.
Its so beyond some individuals ability to comprehend the obvious.. its really sad.

Yup. Donny managed to get too close to the edge trying to wing it. Trump got pressed and he said something especially idiotic. That's obviously a statement written by his handlers. Their job is to save the candidate from himself.

Next up: Trump will say Chris Matthews is a bully. He's got to blame someone since he never takes responsibility for what comes out of his mouth.

I find answers from the top of a candidate's head highly enlightening, and probably more accurate of their true feelings. A president has to make split second decisions at times and needs to be capable of saying I will need to get back with on questions they need to take time to consider. This is something we have seen in Trump before, Trump confidentially answering and then realizing it was a bad answer so then publishing his newly evolved answer.

Trump did manage to pull off a pretty impressive trick, he ticked off the pro-life and pro choice people all at the same time.

Donald J. Trump Statement Regarding Abortion

If Congress were to pass legislation making abortion illegal and the federal courts upheld this legislation, or any state were permitted to ban abortion under state and federal law, the doctor or any other person performing this illegal act upon a woman would be held legally responsible, not the woman. The woman is a victim in this case as is the life in her womb. My position has not changed - like Ronald Reagan, I am pro-life with exceptions.

He also said that abortion should be banned as in make it illegal so he could then punish any woman who gets one. Three hours later he walked back that statement to say the woman is a victim and shouldn't be punished. Tomorrow he'll change it back again. He's unhinged and not fit to be a president of anything but the Rotary Club.
