So Melania used some words that were similar to words used by Michelle in 2008.
And now your acting like Melania copied the whole speech word for word.
Tell me how many politicians have used the words of others during their speeches?

This is such a small thing politics wise.

She didn't just use a few words. And beyond that, she even used Michelle Obama's voice inflections. This is Michelle's voice overlaid on Melania's delivery last night. It's both laughable and infuriating. She owes Michelle Obama a huge apology.
He can't do everything, they have to trust the staff to do their jobs. I'm sure Melania is mortified, this is basically her introduction to the voters and many people probably think she made this misjudgment on her own, when of course there are people in charge of this. I don't understand why they would not hold one of them accountable over making it appear to be her fault.
Wonder what the excuse will be when more of her photos are released? BTW, they are beginning to come out...

Moving on, while this isn't good, let's not blow things out of proportion. At the end of the day, this was a few lines (and only one line verbatim judging from the side by side play by CNN just now) out of a pretty lengthy speech. Again, not defensible, but let's not behave as if the entire speech was lifted . . . only a few lines bear any resemblance.
Melania didn't writer the speech but her speech writer did. To me the mistake was the idiocy of plagiarizing meaningless platitudes. It's not hard to come up with meaningless platitudes -- I could have provided quite a few for free!
I already did a Google check and could not find anyone else other than Michelle stringing those particular words together in that particular way, until Mel came along, that is.
The buck stops with Trump. He's the guy at the top that hired the campaign staffers. He's the one that brags that they don't need much money to run a campaign. He's the one that said he only selects the very best people. The very best people wouldn't have allowed this to happen. The very best people would have had proper damage control.
This ultimately is Trump's mess up for not having the proper staff to do the speech vetting and not having the proper staff to handle damage control. But Trump never takes any responsibility for anything. And never will.
You know, looking over this controversy, this strikes me as the saddest part. That he cannot fall on his sword for her...I feel badly for her in this regard.
