Good point. Everyone I hear on tv is saying the same stuff they said this time last year - like real estate will recover in 2008. Now they say real estate and stocks will recover in 2009. That makes me worry.

Yes, that's right. GWB personally forced all those people to be stupid, to max out 6 credit cards, and to take interest-only ARM mortgage loans to buy houses that were 3x more than they should have spent.

You're probably right. Bush earned it, he owns it.

No, no, no! Obama will be President in 20 days - and we ALL know that the President personally controls every aspect of the economy. So... by this time next year, it is a GIVEN that the United States will be rolling in prosperity! It's inevitable

If the economy is still in poor shape by January 21st, 2009 is it fair for us to say it's all Obama's fault??

The above post does highlight and important fact: that the economy behaves to a very large degree independently of the President. If the economy is still doing poorly in 2 years, it might be fun for me to blame it all on Obama and the Dems in Congress but I know it's not true.

We just had an election, and Hannity and his crowd lost, decisively. They can rant all they want about the stupidity of the American citizenry, but at what point are they to be considered traitors? We need every brain and every pair of hands to deal with the mess these guys have made of our Nation. We sure don't need anybody working for the failure of that effort.

Since he is reneging on all his campaign promises and doing all the things Bush has done in the past, the question is ill posed. I prefer the question, Will following GWB's policies continue to prevent terrorist attacks and hold off the complete financial collaps that the Democrat's back door social programs at fannie and freddie caused?

I don't know if he can save us, but I know he isn't the messiah. I don't even think there is such a thing as a messiah. But I do believe that he will do his best, and I do think that he would be the only one at this time in history that could do it with the help of others.

By the way, I love the Cree Indian Prophecy. I will see if I can give you a rep.

Sorry, but that person has a rep of 111 and therefore is not a troll. It was a good question as well.
