I know several women now that were they to run for president of the US I'd vote for in a split second.
That poll was asked prior to Sobchak entering the race, so it was about women in general. Also Sobchak is a famous journalist in Russia and apparently very witty too, she was only known as the Paris Hilton in her younger years, she has matured since then. Though I have to admit I know very little about her personally, except that I first herd about her in song that Leningrad wrote recently.

Of course I think that. It's a privileged shadowy elite. And some times above the law.

If to draw knowledge from Hollywood movies, you might get the impression. )) And let so. What structure it is best to know the sentiments and aspirations of the people?

Pffft. A secret state police is not "of the people".

She just promotes and earns money on advertising.

She has many good acquaintances among musicians, oppositionists and journalists. Not only Leningrad, she also participated with Oblomov and Parfenov:

etc. She's smart, has many friends. But she has no chance. Russia is not so stupid and will not choose a young girl for president in this historical stage.

Of course. Families of party figures, diplomats, famous actors, high ranks of the army and government services, etc.
