I don't see him becoming a president for a reason, that him becoming a president would mean the end of the US as we know it. I mean it puts the cross on the idea that America with all its monetary power might take over the world completely one day.
Even though his presidency would have made the lives of many people in the US much better.
I don't think America is going to get better. I think Russia is going the same path for the most part. The only thing different is that America is going to slide further. The Silk Road Initiative is going to help not only Russia but the whole of Asia. That's going to leave America with little except a fading military to prop it up. Russia will be able to manage and gain from it. I fear America will be on the outside looking in and Americans will be paying the price of the horrid decisions made in our recent history.
Remember how the powers that were in the Soviet Union strived so hard to maintain that power? It's the same thing here.
Russians nor Americans should think they have it hard. That's hard, that's having 9 toes over the line of death. It also shows what humans can do. Through all that sadness and adversity and horror the father has one thing to do, its the only reason he goes on in that hell. Any young male who wonders why he's on earth should watch that movie and realize that even in a world of horror there is hope and purpose.
Yes, it's true. Or read that book. Maybe I just like to read more than to watch, if it's complicated things.
I have a disc of the unedited screening version of The Road. To put it mildly it's disturbing. I could barely watch it myself. It makes the Walking Dead seem like a walk through a Disney theme park. I read the book and the movie follows the book closely and the visual aspect in front of you will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
Humanity has a dark side, make no mistake of that.
Perhaps the power in the US is old and not afraid to show nobility.
Old and corrupt. Too many of them have been in high places so long they know nothing else and their power ensures they will stay there until they choose to step down or die there. There's nothing noble about them. It's more like a priesthood complete with sychophant acolytes that serve their every whim and a willing populace of serfs to rule over.
I think its a problem in most countries and has been all throughout history. Corruption works it way into all systems with time.
Oh you already saw it?
I wanted to give you a fair warning that that's what it was - a usual concoction of American propaganda. A spin doctors at their best.
And then they get all indignant, how Putin dares to do the same))))
Everyone knows why Putin sees the US as a threat. Autocrats will always be against a nation which supports the basic rights of individuals.
It's not that important "why Putin sees the US as a threat." It's more important how Russian general population sees the US and why.
