All right, so it was not a good day for him, since there were internal problems today too, in Uzhgorod. Apparently he signed some new law concerning the imported ( from Europe) cars, and this brought a lot of protests. ( Obviously he wants more money in his coffers, but people don't have enough to pay.)
Apparently the Ukrainian vessels were being escorted out of the Straits when they once again turned towards the bridge/strait. The Russian gunboats fired warning shots and ordered them to turn about. They did not. The next shots were not warnings, the ships were boarded by whatever means necessary. One Ukie patrol boat was badly damaged. 3 sailors were wounded and are being treated. The crews of the boats are interned

A sales tax on imported cars. Does Ukraine make any cars? I know Chevy had a plant there long ago. If they don't then where will people get them? Russians can at least buy Ladas ffs.

God knows. I looked it up, and that's what it said;
"Before agreement with EU Ukraine's automobile manufacturers made between 100-200 thousand vehicles per year. The major domestic players in this industry were UkrAvto (ZAZ), Bogdan, Eurocar, Electron corporation, Etalon-Avto, KrAZ and LAZ. Locally developed designs continue to prevail in the production of trucks, buses and trolleybuses while production of domestically-designed cars such as ZAZ Tavria has decreased. Most car production in Ukraine now involves assembly of European, Korean and Chinese brands. In April 2018 the Ukrainian carmakers association Ukrautoprom stated that the automotive industry in Ukraine worked at only 2% of their capacity, while the output of motor vehicles was nearly 98% less than that in March 2008.[1] "
Pretty f'ed up of Russia to take such actions. The area is a zone for them to transit, even if advanced notice was not given, you still do not take such actions, especially the ramming which is totally unacceptable.
