Well, the Anti-Trump cult of self-proclaimed liberal Europeans is at least as absurd as the Trump cult in the US you describe. As was the Obama cult and the peace nobel prize. There are always people who do not use common sense but exaggerate and dramatize.

Regarding top research, it is not that simple. Fraunhofer research center are often affiliated with universities and exchange staff and machinery. But also German universities by themselves do top research. It is a very sophisticated system with universities doing the basic resarch, Fraunhofer doing the rather techncial pre-commercial development.
Yes, and Frauenhofer, Max Planck etc. are very well equipped, and only really good students get there. Consider the German system a kind of natural selection process

Most top research in Germany takes place in companies, though.

Interestingly, the reputation of polytechnic institutes, which originally were considered inferior to universities, has already overtaken that of many universities. They don't teach cheap subjects for the masses, and access is limited based on GPA.

History repeats itself, the Germans are back to their old games.

They know they can't do it themselves so they let the Muslims in to do it for them.

Everything here is a load of BS and hyperbolic lies given to you by the US media in it's overt need to push war propaganda in Ukraine, Syria, and elsewhere. Russia is a convenient boogie man to be used to support all the wars Comcast and others will profit off of.

In the western world the US has the lowest (even while present) rate of anti-semitism in the world, that's why so many Jews immigrant over here rather than Europe, Canada, etc.

Anti-Semitic incidents rose a whopping 86% in the first 3 months of 2017 - CNN.com

Anti-Semitic incidents rise by 86 percent in U.S. - Washington Times

You are a hypocrite.

Other politicians also lie as Trump does, but they aren't so stupid to get caught every other day. Trump is just lying too obvious.

Trump didn't do anything that bad for me so far. A lot of hot air, a lot of discussions, a lot of media reports, but what did actually affect normal people so far?

Sure, and the Russian state propaganda tells the truth, while the free media in the rest of the world is lying. LOL.

Also there are many tax-breaks for students.

I'm in total agreement however in general income tax in Germany is ridiculous compared to the US. Also healthcare is not as free as some people think. People actually these days often have to pay part of the bill not unlike in the US.
So yes not everything is roses compared to the US by a long shot but education and its accessibility and affordability is (for now anyways) still something where Germany excels compared to the US.

And no that does not make Germany better, it is just one part where it happens to be better. On the flip side of course if one wants the best and most prestige schools there is nothing in Germany like most top Ivy League schools in the US.
Nothing is free. This "free" tuition is paid for via tax dollars. Healthcare is "free" too. I mean, it's not.

I'm not downing Germany - in fact, I've been very positive about Germany throughout this thread. I'm just clarifying that if a society wants to offer "free" social programs, they aren't really free - they're paid for via tax dollars. Hence the very high income taxes in Germany - but hey if that's what the voters want, and they're willing to pay for it, have at it.
