All pay attention only to the Covid-19 curves. But a recession and isolation regime are always associated problems that can also cause death, domestic violence, illness, etc. Who can calculate these losses? And is it possible to choose a smaller problem?
Well these problems are already happening because of the lockdown measures. My point is that work can spread the virus at this point, so choosing profit over health isn't really a good idea in the long run.

Pretty much. The economy sucks because of the virus so it makes no difference if you open everything and continue the spread, look at Sweden they tried the "don't change nothing" approach but now decided not to follow it.
No sense to make economies functioning if everyone gets ill because of that....
No point in destroying the economy when 97 percent of the worlds population will have had this by next flu season and survived. Protect the vulnerable, keep the economy going.
Btw, here in Estonia in a small town today protective masks were sold for 129.- euros per package. There are 50 masks in the package, so the price of one mask is neither more nor less than 2.58 euros. I wonder if this is a European /world record?

May be for one town it is.
(What are the salaries/ pensions there?)
But I think overall Ukraine would still beat all the records in this respect.
The government there FORCES people to wear masks, while there are none in the stores.
It's possible to buy them only via internet.
I am checking their prices.
It looks like the best deal is 50 masks per pack for 600 grivnas ( one dollar is approx. 27 grivnas.)
The fines for not wearing one is 17,000 grivnas ($620)

Pensions there are about $75.
There are videos all over the internet on how to make homemade masks using basic household items that are just as good as common surgical masks (not N95 of course).
How many people in Ukraine do not have access to internet or basic household items like paper towels, cloth, bed sheets, thread, needle, elastic bands?
Idiot Americans are making them at home. Hard to believe that sophisticated Europeans are relying on "stores" and not their own hands.
I seriously beginning to question that cases in my country are that low, our fake karate/taekwondo PM dropped the bombshell that once cases begin to go down he'll ease restrictions and over 90% of the people don't wear masks. Maybe people are right, it's 5g that causes it! since we don't have it it makes sense...
