Its wasn’t SUDDENLY out of fashion and its been 2 decades since anyone sported them

Low rise are uncomfortable and I could never wear them without a belt. Too high of a rise can also be uncomfortable when it cuts into the ribs.

It's like you read my mind and wrote this for me.

One day, on the bus, I saw this very obese gal was bending down to tend her girl (about 2 years old) in the stroller. Her jeans were down to half of her butt. I saw a butterfly tattoo near her coccyx and a few inches of butt crack, and her belly was hanging down. I was thinking OMG. It seemed like she did it on purpose to show her tattoo and her butt to everyone on the bus. Some people like to do that, I guess. What a scene.

Fit guys and gals look good with low-rise. But for obese and skinny people, they don't look good.

Right, nothing "suddenly" goes out of fashion. New styles constantly trickle up from the streets and the runways, and then hit the malls.

These are great fitting jeans and they look good too.

I'm not aware that they've gone out of style, but overall they're very unflattering.

I would say that as a style, they are unflattering AND uncomfortable on most who feel like they are going to fall off or show something they don’t want to be shown at any moment. Say what you want about mom jeans, but they are likely to be more comfortable if you happen to put on a few pounds.
