It was a take out slice of pizza. It was a good slice of pizza 'cause my friend Joy owns the the place.

I had a few slices of DiGiorno frozen pizza topped with pepperoni and bacon bits. Surprisingly good considering it's a frozen pizza!

Had a nice meaty hambone so boiled that down and it's diners choice of split pea soup or pinto beans and rice; cornbread; sliced tomato and sweet onion. Huge pots of both so that will be lunches for quite a while.

How can you eat gumbo? Hahaha I never had okra either before moving to Louisiana, but my girls (3 of whom were born in the bayou) would kill me if I didn't put okra in our gumbo. I pick it out because it is a taste I never acquired, but honestly I think it's just stew if there isn't okra in it.
