I had a similar experience at a little local newstand/cafe when the owner/cook convinced me to try some beef tongue tacos, very tasty

I love chimichangas! I always get the chimichanga meal when we eat out at Macayo's Mexican Restuarant.

I also love quesadillas, taquitos, tacos, and enchiladas.

I miss the food from New Mexico, specially the green chili

Why not just add nachos on that list. :P It's about as Mexican as a chimichanga or burrito.

Chicken con mole and cheese tamales with chile verde. And you can't go wrong with cricket tacos.

In Florida, we have many restaurants serving authentic Mexican food. I enjoy it all! I do miss eating hardy at Casa Gallarda's tex mex style food, but they closed. We used to go to Sunday Brunch and eat so much we had to go home afterwards and sleep it off. Tia's Tex Mex closed, too. Oh well...

Well, I didn't vote & my fav wasn't on the Poll.
Huevos Rancheros....is BY FAR my ONLY CHOICE EVER from a Mexican joint.

Now, if I absolutely HAD to choose from one of the above options, I would choose Burrito. I like em' dry.

But to be honest, my second fav is Tamales. YUM!! Lots of green chili sauce, please.

What about just beans and rice -- like black beans served over rice? or some of those great egg dishes?

I voted for the burrito. I do want to know why it is called "little donkey," though? Is there something I am missing in the translation?
