Tonight is the traditional Cuban meal with ex's family: Pork, rice n beans, plantans, cuban pastries and wine

Tomorrow morning is American brunch with my family: Turkey, ham, honey ham, deviled eggs, hot chocholate, champagne, wine, salmon, pork, bagels, rolls, and more wine!!!

Tomorrow afternoon is alcohol of some sort with my two good friends. Its our tradition to go out drinking on Xmas and tip the waiters exceptionally well for A) continually having our glasses full and B) for working on Xmas!

The menu is finalized (I think)...

Breakfast

French toast
Sausage
Fresh fruit

Lunch

We will probably just eat cheese and crackers and Christmas candy.

Dinner

Prime rib w/gravy (this will be the first time I ever served gravy with prime rib)
Yorkshire Pudding
Mashed potatoes
Fresh green beans with caramelized shallots and bacon
French Silk Pie w/graham cracker crust instead of pastry

Today I am having (in no particular order)

champagne
strawberries
profiteroles with whipped cream and chocolate (I am making soon from scratch)
baked ham
green salad and boiled potatoes and home made dressing
marinated mussels
marinated mushrooms that I did myself (absolutely delicious)
croissants (ham and cheese, strawberry jam)
cherries
Baileys
dip & crackers

If I kick on I will have beer and/or cocktails made with baileys, peach liquer and malibu.

But that will be after a nap cos its nearly midday and I'm already hammered.

Traditional Christmas dinner was a fresh roast pork, mashed potatoes, grren beans, mashed turnips, etc..

When I had my own family (previous marriage)I started the tradition of haveing Homemade Lasagna,
antipasto salad, with shrimp cocktail appetizer.

This year that tradition has gone by the wayside...we're not celebrating Christmas...kids are grown and don't live
near us...
Dinner will be Cornish game hens, boxed rice and fresh broccoli/cauliflower combo...

This is the most wonderful surprise. it feels like It's A Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street rolled together. I am going to Christmas lunch and can't bring one thing. I know that it will be delicious.

We have 10-16 people, and have a different theme each Christmas, After 20 years we seem to have run out of ideas, having gone through all of the ethnic cuisines, plus odd meals like breakfast for dinner, sandwich bar, and all fried. We couldn't decide between Chinese and Mexican with a tie vote so we're doing both.

The menu is:

Chile Verde
Sweet & Sour Chicken
Pot Stickers
Enchiladas
BBQ Pork Fired Rice
Refried Beans
Quesadillas
Orange Chicken
