We will have a wonderful pot roast. I am about to brown it and stick it in the slow cooker. We will be gone most of the morning, so when we get home I will add the veggies. With it we will finish the Asian cold slaw we had last night.
I'm making my dear Dad's recipe (oh how I miss him!) Pork chops, and sauerkraut in the crock pot, with mashed potatoes. My idea of true comfort food....7 days and counting till diet commences..
Tonight the gang will have Frankfurters and a potato salad with egg,apples,green onions,capers,dill pickles,in a yogurt sauce and a mixed garden salad. And we old ones will finish the lasagna. To drink sour lemon water or lassi. For dessert fresh dark red cherries or red grapes.
Chinese BBQ pork with garlic sauce and/or sesame ginger chicken served over vermicelli rice noodles, fried cabbage and pear cobbler with ice cream for dessert.
more leftover salad, I prefer better the next day with all the fixings and dressing it gets sort of marinated. I am also making hubby some slices of honey smoked ham (thick cut) quickly fried in the pan.
