Had a large package of chicken to use. Half went into Arroz Imperial (Cuban chicken/rice dish) and the other is marinating overnight in ginger, garlic, onion and gouchang paste. Will add more stuff tomorrow and turn into buldak.

I took out a second mortgage to be able to afford this - bone in rib eye steak, along with baked potato, bbq beans, sourdough bread on the grill. Dessert peach cobbler. Ice tea to drink.

Baked salmon with herbs. Baked potatoes with sour cream and butter. Summer squash and zucchini - steamed - from our garden.

Tossed green salad with garden tomatoes, butter lettuce, baby kale and sliced cukes.

Watermelon.

Something this simple should NOT be causing me this much angst. Husband is apparently having corned beef hash with poached eggs on top. I know this because he's making a big mess trying to get things ready.

Me, I had breakfast out (and I ate ALL of it - and it was HUGE) so I'm not really hungry - and least not any time soon - maybe I'll just have a salad later. I don't know. Or cheesebread I could finish that off. Or just nothing - who knows. The freaking drama going on around here today between the police (Fox Lake officer killed and manhunt going on - not far from me) and the neighbor's ex wife just now - YES - just now - ramming his garage door with her car has me somewhat flustered. Seriously - I swear I think we came back home today and stepped directly into the twilight zone.

Chicken cacciatore, I make it with chicken leg quarters and cook it for 6 hours with green peppers, porcini mushrooms, onions, garlic and herbs. When its ready some people are going to eat it with buttered pasta or sourdough bread or with just cooked squash. I think I made enough for an army unit lol
