Last night was traffic jams, rain, and a last-minute decision to pick up egg drop soup and mu shu pork on the way home as I was just tired of dealing with anything.
Tonight I'm solo, so I have no idea what it will be, but I'll pick up something on the way home.....if I go home....
Today is the shopping day so dinner will be quick and easy. We are taking doggy to be groomed, then it is out for breakfast and getting gas. Aldi's is calling us to come and shop. We don't want to disappoint them, so they will be our majoy shopping stop. I am thinking dinner might be chicken wings, cold slaw and fries. And the fries will be straight from the freezer at Aldi's.
Shrimp Scampi...
crusty bread.
Pinot Grigio.
the rest of the Flan for dessert.
A little story; a Security Guard at the Court House where I worked could say 'shrimp' and 'scampi' separate and apart from each other, but when she said the words together, it would invariably come out as 'Scrimp Scampi.'
The ice broke:>)
Boneless pork chops - grill and glaze or nut/focaccia breading, mashed potatoes, buttered mushrooms, green salad.

Tonight we are having smothered turkey wings over rice and gravy, corn on the cob, wheat rolls, and apricot bars and ice cream for dessert.
Tomorrow afternoon, I am going to a Cooking Meetup in Bellevue sponsored by 2 Muslim women from Afghanistan - they are showing us how to make Qabili Palau, Shir Berenji and Mantu. It is their way of reaching out to women of other faiths and bonding through a love of cooking.
