The chocolate I eat melts on its own when I place it in my mouth. My salivary ducts help with swallowing it down.

Does your chocolate come in the form of sand? I'm trying to understand why one would need to drink water to consume chocolate.

Powdered cocoa needs something to wash it down, and that's chocolate with the fat removed. You could eat a sugar cookie without liquid, but if you baked it without butter, it would be dry and powdery.

So your theory may be correct.

Except the OP didn't ask about powdered cocoa, they asked specifically about chocolate (chocolate bar). A chocolate bar isn't powdered cocoa, any more than mayonnaise is an egg, with the oil and acid removed.

The OP asked if the fat in chocolate made it easy to swallow.
Cocoa powder has the fat removed, and is hard to swallow.
It's a good theory, would need testing to prove.

Actually, the OP asked why we can eat chocolate without water. If you'd like to test what you believe is a good theory, please go eat a spoonful of cocoa and let us know how it goes. If you record your test, you can post and share it with the hundreds of other TikToks already available of people trying to consume a spoonful of cocoa, cinnamon, or whatever else. Have at it.

The entire premise of this thread and subsequent discourse is just absurd. Peace out.

I am unable to eat butter for medical reasons. Sugar cookies are my favorite cookie of all. I substitute unsweetened applesauce for the butter and the cookies are not dry and powdery at all.
