Last night we did date night at a steakhouse we've never been to. It was delicious!

It is a grey wet day outside and I decided to try out a new orange cake recipe with Cointreau icing drizzled over the cake and served with a cup of black coffee or a cup of Darjeeling tea. Temptation did not stop here for me.I prepared for tomorrow the cheese cracker dough and it is resting comfortable now all rolled up in my fridge.

Alm, I'd love a slice of that orange cake!

Tonight we are having shrimp etouffee over rice, garlic toast and, this is weird I know, jelly-filled beignets and ice cream.

This whole meal is sheer perfection. I owe you a rep - they won't let me now.

And those crackers! The idea of baking my own crackers has never occurred to me. Now I want those. Actually, it doesn't look terribly difficult. I may give it a try!

Alm have you baked those spicy cheese crackers yet?

As for ourselves, it's a cool, gloomy day. I think I'll take out Indian food. Not in a cooking mood, but I am in an eating mood.

I was so bored with my usual recipes. I came on here to get some ideas. This struck me! I looked it up and tonight it is our dinner! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Chicken Scarpariello (my favorite) which is chicken sautéed in a lemon glaze with garlic, cherry peppers, rosemary, garlic and it’s cooked with some hot Italian sausage and served with roasted potatoes. There are many variations regarding this recipe❗️

I bought another one of those Savory Suppers from Open Nature - beef and broccoli. I added extra broccoli and a few mushrooms and I made a side of plain fried rice. It was really very good - this is the 3rd one we tried and I’m impressed with the quality of the food.

Attempted a crab wrap

Canned crab meat with Mayo on a wheat wrap
Will melted cheese

I ate mine and it was ok ...
My lady politely said she didn’t like it ... and gave it to the dog

This usually means I’ll get a good dessert
