I took temps from 107 to 114.
Not everyday, but here are some stats from Weatherunderground of some summer months:

July 2009-- 107 to 114 range temps--24 days
August 2010--107 to 114 range temps--15 days
August 2011--107 to114 range-- 23 days
July 2012--107 to 114 range--16 days
August 2012--107 to 114--15 days

So, no, not every day, but more than 50%. Dew point I didn't take into effect. That's been rising last 2-3 summers, too, which makes the 107-108's feel hotter.

Yes, of course! I shouldn't move to Iowa in the first place. I would have stayed in Washington state and continued to work, of course visit my girlfriend time to time. Altho, Iowa did kinda save my life by building my credit score and budgeting better before we can start over again elsewhere. I cannot wait to get out of here next year.

Yes and unfortunately I repeated the same mistake. What though it made me realize is to not glorify a place because a current situation is bad or a struggle. Yes sometimes a new state can help but often problems follow a person.

I agree. I moved to Pennsylvania. It wasn't a good fit for us. At least the part we lived in.

Moved again to Ohio. Love it!

Change is empowering.

I'm glad someone understands my misery...

I have a phone interview today with a company in Denver-if I decide to move back I can't do it until the end of August ( I have a renter in my house)-I never would have applied to jobs so soon...but living in Florida, most companies won't even ask for an interview for weeks-I applied on Tuesday last week and they called on Thursday

Yes! I pretty much grew up in Orlando. After getting married my husband and I choose Seattle for our honeymoon. The northwest was so beautiful! A year after getting married we made the move to Bellevue. Within 3 months we regretted it, wondering what we got ourselves into. The cost of living is so much more and the people aren't very friendly. We were well off in Orlando, now it's just very tight. We moved in Dec of 2012 we are packing our bags and heading back at the end of the month.

A thousand times Yes!! We moved from CA (SF Bay Area, born and raised) to the Charlotte, NC area just over the border in SC 8 years ago. I've been miserable ever since. We moved to try to get ahead financially, but instead it went the opposite direction. My husband has been laid off twice, once 2 months after we got here in 2005, and again in 2008. I ended up having five knee surgeries and haven't been able to work. As a result, we are struggling big time to make ends meet. Sometimes we don't. I don't see us having the money or means to make the move back anytime soon. My entire family still lives in CA. I miss them terribly! I want my kids to know their family, I want to be near them, to be a part of their lives. I miss out on everything. I'm very depressed as a result, life isn't the same. I want my old life back! I feel like we're stuck here forever! Can't list the house because we had to file for a loan modification and my husband hasn't been able to find a better paying job in CA. He could probably do his job from CA since the headquarters are there, but they won't pay for relocation. So.....I guess we'll continue to be miserable. You're definitely not alone!
