That is correct, 79,2 % (2000).

I wonder how many of those are Hispanic.

I would say Sanibel, FL is pretty white, white people make up 99% of the population.

I found the Ohio State Campus area of Columbus to not be so much overwhelmingly white but underwhelmingly black. I once after wondering 'where are all the black people?' sat in a restaraunt there and counted like 30 some people on the sidewalk outside before I saw a black face ( saw plenty of Indian, and Asians however). But that was in the early 90s may have changed by now.

Is Seattle not quite white for a large city? Where else?

City-Data says 70.6% white and 18.8% Hispanic for SLC. "White" is usually considered non-Hispanic for population statistics.

How about ANY town in CT besides Hartford, New Haven, New Britain, and Bridgeport. I think (dont quote me) all four of those cities are over 40% hispanic (Puerto Rican)!

Well Columbus is a decently big city. Ohio State has no reputation as being an African-American school. The school has tried to change that, but it is very white/asian/internationally diversity (not so much African.) Now, Columbus as a city/metro is pretty diverse and doesn't really seperate the different minorities up. Columbus didn't start to attract much immigration until the 90s and early 2000s. Since 2000 Columbus' minority population has increased a lot and now Columbus gets immigration than any other city in Ohio.
