There was another. A couple months ago when I was shopping for furniture, Tiger Woods was next door at the gym. This was during the PGA that was going on the next town over.
I forgot to add these earlier, but as a Pro Ballroom Dancer, I've gotten coaching from Mary Murphy (So You Think You Can Dance), Mark Ballas' (Dancing With The Stars) parents Corky & Shirley Ballas (Corky was on for one season), Ron Montez (choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance) I know personally as he lives here in Tucson (he also was host for many years on PBS for Championship Ballroom Dancing), and I know Jonathan Roberts (Dancing With The Stars) from competitions years ago.
Do you remember Three Dog Night playing at the Carlton?
I have a vivid memory of seeing them there in 1981 and my sister-in-law insists that I'm mistaken. Can you help me out, please? Thanks.

Liberace... was genuinely a pretty likeable guy and would actually look you in the eyes when he spoke to you. He was nice to all of the maids, housemen and maintenance staff. Always had a fur coat on.
James Brown (the soul singer)... think I had to get his TV working. A maid was in there already straightening up and he was sitting on the edge of the bed. Seemed kinda f'd up and was saying something to me tho I couldn't understand a single word he said. He was looking at me and gesturing at the maid and laughing. Believe he was implying something unsavory but he might just as well been saying "what time does the pool close" for all I know. Seemed like a happy guy.
David Brenner... had lots of "airs" about him, I was delivering a frig to his room and he kind acted like a dink. He thought he was a pretty big deal I guess. Kinda mumbled and motioned his hand in the general direction of the bathroom when I asked where he wanted me to set the frig. I set the frig in the bathtub and left.

Can't say, although the venue was open then and they booked anyone from Pat Boone to Prince. Tried to find info on TDN and the indication was that they broke up in '75 and got back together in "the early eighties" so...
You might check out the TDN website and post something there if they have a fan forum.
Ghengis ---Thanks much for your effort and reply. I checked their site, but couldn't find what I was looking for.
