I don't care if years later they can make me bionic, I would not choose to survive that ordeal. How would I go about committing suicide? Anybody?
I guess you wouldn't claudhopper, not if it means allowing "doctor assisted" suicide at the expense of the frail, and elderly who DO want to live..I guess we have to really weigh the pros and cons. I was taking a quote from an article I posted for the stats. I actually don't agree with that sentence either. LEO's, if they are good caring people, probably have more reason than most to want to remove themselves from this society. They are witness to the worst of the worst, and are probably put in positions they don't want to be in.
My cousin was a well recognized detective, that ate his gun shortly after his retirement. We'll never really know why, but I do know he drank. Maybe that contributed, or maybe he drank to numb his pain.
