Hopefully, if the food and service is good it will have enough business to support it. So many of this type of restaurant have come and gone.

Bo Daddy's BBQ just opened up at 128 E. Broad Street, Greenville (across from Erwin Penland). They were giving out free samples today. Some serious good brisket and turkey!

Bo Daddy's

They smoke the food on site.

I tried the new Le Peep for a late breakfast this morning. My food was fine except for a couple piece of the peasant potatoes that weren't quite cooked enough, but all around me I heard people complaining. Two people at the next table asked for their potatoes to be redone, and another couple told the waitress their grits were cold and asked for them to be replaced or heated in the microwave.

They are just getting started and clearly have some kinks to work out, but I'm still happy that I have a place to go for breakfast not far from home. And if the IHOP on Wade Hampton and Suber ever gets finished, I can go there too!

Next Friday I have a date with a friend to try Marmalade. Looking forward to it!

There are some great breakfast places in Greenville. Downtown has two of my favorites:

Tupelo Honey Cafe: https://tupelohoneycafe.com/location/greenville
Mary Beth's: Mary Beths at McBee

In the suburbs:

Stax Omega: Diner Greenville, South Carolina - Stax Omega
Mimi's Cafe: Mimi's Cafe | French inspired, chef-led restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner

There are others, but these are the ones I would recommend.
