Though a Greenville address, is that Dollar General within the limits of the City of Mauldin?

This is actually in Spartanburg County very close to the Greenville County line. Out in the "boonies" so to speak. It will be the only retail store for miles.

I believe you will find that the intersection of Woodruff Rd. and Anderson Ridge Rd. is indeed within Greenville county by roughly 2700 ft., or just over 1/2 mile. At that point Enoree River is still the county boundary, and the intersection is on the west side. You can check it out in detail on the Greenville County Geographic Information Systems web map, Greenville County, South Carolina GIS

Its really close but I do believe it is not in Mauldin proper.

Correct. The Greenville County, South Carolina Geographic Information Systems map (Greenville County, South Carolina GIS) shows that property as being outside the Mauldin city limits.

I just heard that Hess is exiting the retail business. What will become of Hess in Mauldin?

You are right, but I am wrong about the exact location to Anderson Ridge. There are not that many main roads in that area and the store is not at a intersection. It is slightly north of the Enoree River. Looking at Google Maps, there is a farm next to the river and the store will be in front of the farm alongside the road. The approximate address is 4197 SC 417.

I guess this means no more Hess trucks at Christmas.
