Success. Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse has added locations across the upstate in recent years. It is time for the lobster to help us sea food differently. Simpsonville will easily support one. Easley can support one.
A Simpsonville Red Lobster location would do very well. The current Greenville location on Pleasantburg is too difficult for most people living east of I-85 to get too.
Likewise, an Olive Garden in Simpsonville would also see a lot of business. The OG on Laurens is always quite busy, especially during lunch.
Has anyone been to the new "Rare Steakhouse on the Piazza" in downtown? I noticed they were running a Living Social special today.
Had the Filet Mignon - the best I've had in years. I don't have steak very often, so I can't make a comprehensive comparison, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

LOL. I got tickled over this. Poor people of the eastside having to travel all the way to Pleasantburg for Red Lobster. Now you know how people on the Westside, Northside, Taylors and Greer, TR feel about having to drive to the eastside and Woodruff Rd/ Fairview Rd for the good retail, restaurants. We feel your pain.
Surprising Red Lobster has not relocated to Woodruff Rd, Cherrydale, or one of the trendier locations. They must still do a very good business at that longtime location on Wade Hampton. And in the quick serve category, it would be nice if a Captain D's would return. To me they are better than Long John Silver's.
Red Lobster remains very popular and occupies an excellently desirable location on Wade Hampton Boulevard. Greenville County is becoming vastly populated a second location south of or along I-85 would be advantageous.
I do not know if Greer is ready for Red Lobster, Olive Garden and/or Longhorn Steakhouse yet. I like to see more population density occur before Greer is considered for those chains.
It's no secret why Red Lobster hasn't moved. That building has been paid for for decades. They just renovate and go right along making money which is hard in the restaurant business!
My father told me about the Red Lobster coming to Simpsonville but we don't know where exactly. They should put it where the old Ryans was instead of that Chinese place.
