That is a safe area with a nice view of the Ohio River. You have quick access to downtown via Route 2 and quick access to the shopping centers and I-64 via the Route 2 Connector. I have a friend from high school who lives in that area and she loves it.

That's a generally nice area that is convenient to Ritter Park with quick access to Kroger etc just on the north side of the tracks.

Cam's Ham has a great flaked ham sandwich. I haven't really tried their other food since that is the main thing you go there for.

Tentative plan is I leave Aug 15 that gives me time to tune up the Creepy white van, track down the Battery issue and rebuild the $10 roof mounted surfboard cargo box to hold all my swords and hats. I'll drive slow 3 or 4 hours a day and take maybe two weeks, I'll call it my last vacation. First stop should be Hillbilly hotdogs

When I'm traveling, I can usually do 6-7 hours each day, comfortably. A friend of mine tries to limit her drive days to 5-6 hours. You might be able to cover a little more ground than you thought.

Take your camera to Hillbilly Hotdogs. It's a visit you'll never forget.

It's sort of my last vacation and I don't want to over task my arms and eyes, only drive when i'm fresh and perky. And after noon so I'm not driving into the sun
