Any ideas what that is going to be?

Seems like a big floor plan from what I could see.

That's what I was told from a reliable source, I assume it will be a "real" Verizon store not an authorized reseller.

Bit disappointing, but at least its something.

Now that big four lane road between East Limestone and County Line is looking pretty good. Still curious what are the plans in that area.

I just drove by it. I would be shocked if its a Verizon store. There's WAY too much plumbing in the foundation for what I would expect a Verizon store to have. Also, the location of the plumbing is in a odd location for a retail store. I would lean toward it being a restaurant or food place of some type.

Much better news!

Couldn't possibly be a mattress store either.

Not unless Water beds are coming back! lol

A large lot just south of the new Mapco on County Line has been cleared. Any word on what that is going to be? I would assume another shopping center of some sort. Hopefully at least one mattress store.

Haha! I had to go to Publix today and saw the foundation and thought the same thing. I doubt Verizon builds another new place after just opening up the new store by Wal-mart.

I checked Bill Ming's site, and didn't see anything new. I don't subscribe to the Athens Newcourier, so that was out. Could it be my dream.... Popeye's!

This is just my opinion but I think they cleared that land just south of the new Mapco to showcase that land and let potential buyers know that it is in fact, for sale....? But of course I would looooove for more retail to start springing up over there.

I thought I saw a "For Sale " sign there as well.
