Is it open yet? I would like to at least sample something considered "local" and give it a fair chance.

It's just generic bar food, out of the box onto a place.

Nothing special or homemade.

Ah ok, thanks for the heads up. That's the way I feel about that Mei Wei place but it seems to be a hip place to some of the younger, professional crowd.

I like to see a decent seafood place - Sadly lacking in the area. From someone who comes from the coast. Red Lobster sucks, Landry's is overpriced for the food, Wintzells has good oytsters but fries thier shrimp untill it'll bounce.

Mei Wei was popular with people my age, but I was never a fan. Didn't seem special when I saw it.

Landry's is overpriced and I don't eat oysters, so I have always been let down by Wintzells.

Cajun Cafe out in the middle of nowhere has fresh seafood, as fresh as it can be this far inland. Bonefish has a big variety of fresh fish.

Never been disappointed at any Bonefish - keep checking their specials, waiting for Wolf fish...a true delicacy & very ugly fish :-)

Back to the intent of this thread, Sweetwater will, by far be the biggest boon to the dead zone between county line and 565. It will be a game changer for Limestone county, yet they will not pony up $1.4 mil because the retail complex will be in Morgan county... cut off the nose to spite the face!!

Rumor has it a 5 Guys Burgers & Fries will be part of the new construction in Athens by Walmart. Any truth to that?

Looks like they are starting construction on something between Verizon and the new Ihop. Any ideas?
