I will be honest, the novelty is wearing off quickly. I mean where do you put all this white stuff? I can't even drive my truck until I dig it out from under 24 inches of snow, lol and it is still coming down. Next time I pray for snow someone my mouth shut

You do know that this is like nothing compared to what we can get, right?
Like three and four years ago, or last winter. Three years ago, roofs were collapsing all over the area from the heavy snowfall. Two feet, pfft...this is nothing.

This is more of a NID Front Porch item than a News item, I think, so here it is! A second location for Sweet Lou's Restaurant is opening up in Ponderay! (First location is in Hope, in case you didn't know!) We actually haven't eaten there yet, we've just had it recommended by neighbors:

Sweet Lou

Take a look at that kid in the picture, Lou--he really is adorable!

Clark, you must give them a try next time you're up-it's fabulous! We can vouch for the ribs and the smoked prime rib. I don't even like prime rib and just the thought is making me drool! Can't wait for the other half to get here, so we can try out the new location.

You won't have to twist my arm, it's on our list! And the Hope location is only 20 minutes away from our place. Nice to read about a young family's success story in otherwise hard times.

So how's the snow doing? Hate to say it, but this weekend we're having clear skies and 72 F down here in despicable SoCal ... Those of you who do winter getaway trips, think about it...

Thanks for the invite, Clark, but I'm kinda getting used to air that doesn't need to be chewed before swallowing!

As for the snow, I have to agree with the natives: I WISH IT WOULD JUST STAY COLD. Snow is good. Ice and slush are bad. Yesterday, I spent over three hours clearing the drive. I think I blew up the snow blower, but John Deere is my friend.
