I'm sorry but am I supposed to feel some sort of sympathy for this little girl?
Give your correct name and you won't be deported. So simple! She's 15 years old, not a goddamn toddler. At that age you should know right from wrong and have some idea on how to carry yourself as a young adult.
Anyways...It doesn't sound like she was ever headed in the right direction of her life in the first place. She's now pregnant! What's next - welfare and a housing project for her??

I'm struggling to understand why it matters at all whether or not she speaks Spanish. What does that have to do with an idiotic deportation?

So again, you and many others apparently believe that deportation should be exclusively based on the word of a teenage girl and absolutely zero identity verification. Are there no reasonable people here because this is like living in the gd Twilight Zone.
The absolute incredible thing to me is that if she had given birth in Columbia, her baby would be a Colombian citizen (jus soli is recognized there), with no claim to U.S. citizenship (she hasn't resided in the U.S. for the required two years after her 14th birthday yet, to have been able to solely pass derivative citizenship to her baby EDIT: However the baby could get "expedited citizenship" from the U.S. citizen grandparents, as long as it was applied for before the age of 18)...
Isn't that a shocker to anyone else?...

She had opprotunity to be honest and tell the truth. She elected to live a lie. The system failed no two ways about this. But the first and primary failure was due to her own actions.

Lots of 14 yr olds make stupid mistakes But for someone who makes more than 70,000 per yr to not know if someone who doesn't speak fluent Spanish
may not be from Latin America
So what you are saying is that you ASSUME she speaks no Spanish. That you don't have any actual facts here, and are making it up as you go to make some bizarre point.
The ONLY reason this girl wound up in Colombia is because SHE WANTED TO.
