I have been reading some articles online from people who support a completely open border and immigration program for America. Under their plan anyone who wanted to visit, live or work in America could come in unlimited numbers. All they would have to do is fill out a form as they entered the country and register. They would be given a residency permit and be able to work.

These advocates for a completely open border say this would create an incredible boom in America.

Just for the sake of argument, describe America in 10 years after the border is completely opened for everyone. (Rich and poor, skilled and unskilled, moral and criminal, all races, colors and religions.)
Basically America's immigration system in the early 1800s.

Here are some arguments for a open border:

Machete attacks, drugs, terrorism, unlimited welfare, kidnappings for ransom, etc. The people trying to sneak in are not software engineers, accountants and pediatricians.

Many people believe that the majority of the people coming would be very professional people who are highly skilled professionals but do not have the opportunity to have as high of standard of living in their own country. Yes there would be some poor people but if anyone who wanted to come to America could legally our country would boom with lots of hard working talented people.

A boom? Where are the jobs going to come from??? There are few enough jobs as it is, and automation/artificial intelligence is causing various occupations to become obsolete.

If anything we should be kicking people OUT, not bringing them IN.

Who are these people that believe the majority of the people coming would be very professional people who are highly skilled professionals ?? Are they other illegal immigrant advocacy people who believe there could never be too many illegal immigrants in America ?

Will these people need any financial support from our Government ?
We are already trillions of dollars in debt. Not to mention our schools are already over crowded.
Who will pay for their medical costs ?

If these people are educated and very professional, why don't they fix the problems in their own country and better their way of life there ?

I would say one half of the country will become like Latin America, and the other half like China

Tijuana Norte. With all the corruption and filth.

With the Balkanization of the USA and interracial and cultural strife galore. All except the elite that live in gated/guarded communities surrounded by slums outside.

These people will bring in their failed social and political systems with them and bankrupt social services, then Canada will be where they will sneak into next.

I think it will get to the point where the 1% will bail out of America with their money, and the rest of us will have to fight over what's left.
