And have you noticed how many pregnant girls/young women there are?? These babies will get birth-right citizenship right after birth, so no way they will send the mothers back.

People get the governments they elect and should pay for their choices themselves.
Actually the option of not bailing them out is not available. The recent water fight being yet another example. The income per capita is simply too low to support the city. There is simply insufficient income to ever be able to pay sufficient taxes for the city to survive. And both the income and population continue to fall. Well over half don't pay their property taxes. Detroit can forclose but what good does that do...they end up with another piece of property that than degrades and needs to be demolished.

And 18 billion a year is not nearly enough to control the illegal alien population. Just slows growth.

I am sure they won't be especially with Obama's policy of not deporting any illegal aliens unless they are "convicted" criminals. There is a reason that their U.S. born offspring are called anchor babies.

Bring in the dozers and plow it under. Plant grass and trees and make a national park out of it.

And the 4 million or so people who count on downtown Detroit as their commercial center move elsewhere? Cut all the expressways as there is no one to police or maintain them.

You really understand Detroit don't you?

The border is secure. That's why so many of these children and illegal immigrants are getting apprehended.

I've only driven through. Never stopped. To me it appeared as just another filthy ghetto.

Possibly pass nationwide laws requiring proof of citizenship to rent or own property? I think that would help with the current situation.

And cause another one. Foreign investment in our real estate market would dry up.
