The big thing when I was a little kid more than 40 years ago was the "population explosion". Now some people are bent over NOT making enough babies? It's happening in more and more countries; with the way Mexico's going, it'll soon be below replacement level. It doesn't bother me at all.

Some posters just keep mindlessly parroting the same thing. They simply don't care about the negative consequences that overpopulation causes. Nor do they want to become educated about it either.

Agreed. Overpopulation is a bad thing, especially when it is uneducated (like what is happening). This just means more taxes for the rest of us.

Yes, always true. If there are 10 people that need food, the demand for food is to service 10 people. What happens to demand when the population drops to 5 people?
Japan's problems are not hard to figure out; population decline is economic decline. A country with menial birth replacement cannot sustain economic growth.

What part of basic math do you not understand?!?! It takes just over 2 humans to replace a population. Less than 2 doesn't cut it. Here is a 1.5 person birth rate.

When you have millions of unemployed Americans with our tax coffers being diluted and spread thin, overcrowded schools, jails and hospitals it makes no sense to keep importing more "immigrants". Illegal immigration should be out of the question altogether.

Exactly, not to mention we are importing people who will take the already spread thin tax dollars. Contrary to what some believe, the rest of us know these illegals will be a drain on taxes because studies show this. Most are uneducated in their own country, which is why they come here. What is never mentioned is Mexico has a middle class that is relatively educated. They for the most part aren't the ones coming here illegally. What is coming here illegally are the ones who have heard about our generous welfare system or the ones who don't offer an in demand skill because they aren't educated enough to have one. These facts are ones the pro amnesty people never mention.

As you said, the illegals know they can tap into our welfare coffers by giving birth on our soil even if they can't find a job here (but of course many do). They know they will get free healthcare and education for themselves and their kids. Now they know that if they make it across the border they won't be deported anyway via Obama's illegal immigration policies. It's a win, win for them and their employers and a huge loss to most Americans.
