This is long past due.

The 14th Amendment cites "all persons born or naturlized and subject to the jurisdiction thereof". It makes
no reference to those who have crossed illegally and simply dropped babies across the border. It's been
grossly misinterpreted for decades.

This has never made sense in any way.

Agreed, the qualifier to claim birthright citizenship is for their parents to be subject to our jurisdiction and they are not. If that were not so than the term "and" subject to the jurisdiction thereof would not have been included as part of that clause. It's so simple that it's mind boggling that it's been miss-interpreted for so long along with so many regular American who just can't seem grasp what that clause means or don't want to for whatever their agenda is.

If Trump banned it then it would be opposed by the dems and SCOTUS would decide. Maybe Trump is waiting for RBG to kick the bucket so he can put in a sensible judge. Then he would have a much better chance.

Let it go and move on to another cause like the flat earth theory.

That would be my guess. She’s holding on like her departure would mean the end of the universe.

I didn't expect for you to admit (ending BR citizenship) that you see how creating a national citizens registry would ever be a problem. Even though we have the German history in the creation of such a registry to show us what it is and how that all works out ... it's America.

The problem of statelessness has become a live issue again

Statelessness: What It Is and Why It Matters

Trust me, it won't bother me in the least, that the u.s. won't be able to collect taxes on people who are born here. But apparently for some people, it matters, that they are excluded.

Good question. I ask the same thing about how can you be for the environment and climate change, but then be for packing this country with as many people as you can, when it will be a disaster to our environment and resources?

It's obvious that the Democrats are hypocrites. Just like it makes no sense for them to attack the rich but want their cheap, illegal workers to stay here making the rich, richer.
