This has been addressed. States can arrest a person for voter fraud.

Why not just privatize all education?

That way schools could charge whatever the market bears.

That's a hard lesson to learn. In order to defeat a Democratic candidate for governor of Texas, the right convinced Texans that he was mayor of a sanctuary city, Houston. The policy in Houston was the exact same as the conservative state of Texas police, etc.. Don't know why, but people bought it.

We lived in Texas almost all our lives. When son entered college we had been living in Mo. for a few years.
The rule for in state tuition was one must have lived in the state for 3 out of the last 5 years. We paid out of state tuition for UT.

I doubt if the state even knows legal from illegal. It the address that counts.

why shouldn't the illegals go back to their own country and their own schools, then?

Because business wants their parents here to work for them.

That is a different debate, a debate concerning the Fed.
The original question was based on an individual State's jurisdiction and its implication on tuition fees vs the Federal role in Immigration enforcement.

To answer your question above. You are correct, however as stated above that is not for the Individual State to decide. If your asking "why" they don't go back, you would have to ask an Illegal Immigrant, i doubt we could help you there.

So the current illegals are taking the odd jobs like lawn mowing and agricultural work.

After their generation finishes schools and colleges, they will start taking white collar high paying jobs reserved for Americans, and send Americans to mow lawn and work in the wheat fields?

The vast and increasing majority of children born to illegal parents are US citizens. So they will compete with other US citizens.
