So in that analogy men raping men is ok?!

For one...this is almost the same supreme court that legalized gay marriage, yet, take a huge step backward with this recent ruling.

I have BILLS to pay. The gay marriage thing is very puzzling. How can you be for something progressive, then regress on women's rights and no one is challenging it? This is a very backwards and talibanish move. I really wish the plaintiff could take it to the supreme court to see what happens.
You have to be very careful when reading posts by Ronnie. "Almost the same" is not the same. Three of the judges that approved gay marriage were voted out of office in the next election, mainly because of out of state influence and money that was provided to a fanatic here.

If there is anything "Talibanish" about Iowa it's the religious freaks that make life miserable for anyone that doesn't kowtow to their beliefs.

Oh dear god. Please stop believing the biased tripe spewing from the media. Research this case for yourself and keep in mind the court case was a matter of 'at will employment'. As an employee at will, you may leave your job at anytime for any reason. And similarly, your employer may terminate your employment at anytime for any reason, save a few protected classes. Being an attractive female is not a protected class. The Iowa Supreme Court returned the correct ruling.

Um, she got dumped, because her boss was an old perv and his wife was jealous.

Call it "at will employment" if you want to, but the main reason she got fired was because he was turned on by her and the wife wasn't having it. He sexually harassed her throughout her time there and has text messages to prove it. This is what she should have sued him for not because she was a woman.

If she was a young, hot gay twink who was turning the boss on, his wife could have demanded the same thing.

She never flirted back with him.

Please actually research this case before making the ridicuous hijab. The Iowa Supreme Court returned the only decision that could be made.

Other women at this company SHOULD show up in one, just in case he couldn't keep his fantasies under control again.

I agree with you totally in principle, but this was a one-owner dentist office, not a corporation. As a small business owner, he was not subject to the same letter of the law as a large corporation. For example, if you hired a maid or cook or baby sitter and didn't like them, for any reason, you could let them go without repercussions. This would not have happened if he had been a manager for a large company. He likely would have been the one fired then. This ruling occurred because he is a small business OWNER and he can hire/fire whomever he wants.

That said, if he was my dentist, I would quit going to him after this and I think he will lose some of his patients. Probably won't get too many new ones either.

I agree. I wouldn't be able to look at neither him nor his wife the same after that. Also, I feel for women in her situation. A woman with two kids trying to put food on the table and keep a roof above her head. HE was probably the one that began the personal and "after hours" talk not her.

I think it was him too. I don't think she did anything to contribute to this, other than showing up for work and being herself. He sounds like a real loser, hiding behind his wife and his pastor.
