Yup. We're all employers posting.

If you look for a job everyday, rather in the newspaper or online, and you still don't have one, I'd say it's not your fault. Something else is stopping it.

My mom used to tell homeless people to get jobs, but she got let go from her job and hasn't been able to find another one since. She told me she didn't know it was so hard to get a job, all this after she used to insult people with no jobs.

People act like it's the 1950's or something and any place you walk into will hire you on the spot. It is the complete opposite today. There are way too many people, too few jobs and you're lucky to even get a call back.

I read an article sometime back about how the competition for a Walmart position is more fierce than an Ivy League enrollment.

If I were you I would be out there looking and off City Data untill the evening hours. Even then since you are looking I would be building your resume, working on Linked In, hitting Facebook for leads, Twittering your availability, Posting anything that you can or filling out as many online applications as you can. Don't tell me why you can't do it, tell me why you can do it.

I still want to know why so many on this forum are high and mighty like they can't lose their job?

People are not like that. I know at any moment, I could be out of a job. However, I also know not to make excuses and to find a new job.

I am sure I am not the only one, but the whiney excuse making attitudes are really my largest pet peeve about this forum.

Stop making excuses!

Are you shocked? These are the same people who voted for George Bush twice.

I agree that it's pointless to whine about the job search process because it takes away most of your mental energy that you need to find a job.

Between illegals taking jobs and visaed workers taking the skilled jobs it is hard to find a decent job. Many are unemployed for years through no fault of their own.
