That is interesting, and is an opinion which I happen to share. However, there is no need to reconcile Torah with what our Christian fundamentalist friends call "macro-evolution." While the process of small changes (adaptations), which some call "micro-evolution," is not a theory, but rather an observation, the extension of such a process to account for the entire creation of the animal and vegetable worlds is a leap of faith at least as great as the leap of faith in a single Creator.
The belief in macro-Evolution is a religious belief, not a scientific belief.
Depends. What do you do at college? Beer? Drugs? BDS? Social justice? Pre marital sex? I know you don’t, Chana. But most secular Jewish kids are doing some combo of those. All while being indoctrinated with homogeneous progressive values. No thanks.
Most beer in the United States is completely kosher, and some authorities do not even require a hecksher if it is made with only malt, hops, water and yeast (as most but not all are). For those who are more machmir, there many beers that have heckshers.
And social justice is a Jewish value.
Beer and social justice, alongside engineering or accounting or even biology are fine.

I always ask the evolutionist, that since they describe themselves as human evolving's, at what point do they come of age and become human beings ? Because you can't be both.
If you are so feeble willed that exposure to people who believe and think differently than you for a few years is so startling, then what basis of faith or belief do you really have at all? Hiding yourself from other points of view doesn't strengthen you or prepare you to be a functioning adult.
I was surrounded by lots of different opinions in college, ranging from different lifestyles, faiths, expressions of faith, expressions of gender, etc. Being exposed to those differences didn't change me, and discussing things like faith, politics, lifestyles, etc forced me to really examine *why* I believe what I believe. How is it a good thing to be frightened of that process?
