Tom,
Keep the faith. There was one point I never thought we'd get here.... that was 3 years ago. My mother still talks as if my move here to Tn. is temporary! Ha!, I keep telling her, I'll never move back to NY, I love Tn. so much better. Although I live in the Knoxville area and Knoxville is my home.
Pam

Your choices for putting in JC are Asheville and Kingsport.

Have you checked craigslist? There are always some random jobs there, mostly medical receptionist type.

And yes, I have NO idea why the largest city in the TRI (JC) doesn't have its own network. Weird, but...

I have a question regarding sharing information... Can one put a link to another City/Data site? Or is no cross-referencing allowed?

A link from within City-Data, sure. A link to another forum that is "like" City-data, no please. But thank you for asking.

For those of you who were concerned for me about the swine flu panic (and know I live in Mexico part of the year) here's a CD link to a video that demonstrates there have been *no* problems! I'm hopeful the panic is over and my *other* part of the world will recover. And for those considering a vacation, this is a great place to go, especially now.

I'm on pretty much the same time schedule Tom. Just wanted to say Good Luck! I'm buying my lottery tickets too; I want to be able to buy some land, 10 acres or more. That's next to impossible around here unless you've got a lot of money.
