Well, when we haven't been to one for a very long time, we start missing them. Our closest casino (Black Hawk) is in the mountains to the south of us. We can't get to it from where we live, we have to rent a car, drive south, then west into Golden, then up into the mountains. It definitely isn't a day trip for us anymore.

Well, MGM Grand Buffet has a terrific Breakfast Buffet and South Point has a terrific Dinner Buffet (Prime Rib). Cosmopolitan has a very good Breakfast Buffet as well. Was at all three in December 2021 when we were in Vegas for the NFR.

And, depending on your LUCK, a person can win at least a couple hundred dollars playing a $1 slot..........like I have before. We were in Vegas back in summer of 2001, for both a late Wedding Honeymoon and a major rodeo (Wrangler Winter Finals). Due to finances, we didn't think we'd be able to go to the rodeo at the MGM Gardens, but I won enough money on a $1 slot in Circus Circus to send us twice to the rodeo. IOW, it was a very nice Honeymoon for us!

At this point in my life I wouldn't want to be near this area co casinos because of all the congestion, traffic and people.

Before earlier in life it didn't bother me and I enjoyed getting the free drinks in the casino at that time. But I only gambled once or twice and lost $115.00 in quarters and that was enough for me. I wouldn't want this to become an addiction.

We're in the Carson City area, going on 3 years. Still haven't been to any of the casinos.

I just wanted the OP to know there are many lakes in Northern Nevada and the Sierra Nevada above.
If you mean the problem is keeping a boat docked on the water, Lake Mead is good for that, but we have a plethora of lakes, rivers, reservoirs etc here
Many boat owners here, but most store them off the water and launch to use.

I'm always amazed at how many darn lakes we have up here.

Babyboomers2, I checked out the link to the Heritage Senior Center in Henderson that Worldklas provided up above.

Wow, this program at the Center seems tailor made for you!

Western Wednesdays

Cowboy hats and boots optional while enjoying throwback western flicks set in the “olden days” that tell stories of cowboys and outlaws who explored and attempted to tame the Wild West. Movies are displayed on our big screen while you enjoy fresh popcorn, candy and snacks in a theater-style environment. Bring friends or make new ones!

Just why should we check out a gay rodeo association???? Your reply has to be a big joke! I already know that there are those on this forum that have absolutely no interest in rodeo and that's fine, but.........
