No joke at all. Only that it looks like they enjoy rodeo and a good cow poke same as you. Leave your sexual orientation at the door and just enjoy.

That would be an absolute NO for us! End of story.

Well, have now got boat and apartment insurance. Both cost us more than here in northern Colorado, but that's just the area. Vehicle insurance won't be cheap either, but since we are both in our mid 70's, good drivers and the Durango is a 2005, will see what happens.

One word of advice - you'll be living in the desert. Carry water with you everywhere. Keep a 6 pack of water bottles in your car in case of an emergency or breakdown.

It will be outrageously high, take it from someone in the same situation. We shopped around ALOT and the lowest premium we found was with GEICO. We moved here from Texas and were so shocked at the high costs of both auto registration at the DMV and insurance.

Just another remark, in response to your comments regarding Gay Rodeo. Las Vegas is very liberal, probably due to the high proportion of people who move here from CA. If you are going to be living in an apartment complex that’s not 55+, be prepared for a whole lot of diversity among your neighbors including LGBTQ people.

BB2 and his wife will do fine. If he just smiles and says "Howdy" he'd have some fine new friends who also wear cowboy attire and love rodeo. It's all good.

Well, we are with State Farm for auto insurance. Our registration should be (note I did say "should be") pretty low, being the fact that it's a 2005 with 180,000 miles on it. Those with much new vehicles pay a much higher price. We found that out when we moved back to Colorado. People were amazed at how low we paid for new plates/new registration and yearly tags.

As far as the LGBTQ folks, we don't agree with any of it, even though our Great Neice first became bi-sexual and then a lesbian (after being married to a man for a short time). We don't communicate with her at all and visa-versa. We had a lesbian couple live across/upstairs from us. The one lost her job when the Pandemic hit and moved out. The other one, whom we talked to, ended up moving out as well. Her arms were full of tattoos, but she was very nice. Years ago, for a few weeks, I took care of a lesbian couples equestrian center. We tolerate the LGBTQ, but have very little to do with them.

For the 10 1/2 years we lived in Jacksonville, Florida, we met numerous older black folks who were extremely nice. They got somewhat shocked when they found out that one of our favorite music types was Motown.

Yep, Mike, you are right. We have met some excellent black rodeo contestants and world champions, such as: Fred Whitfield, Charley Sampson, Cory Solomon, Shad Mayfield and John Douch. All excellent Tie-Down aka Calf Roping gentlemen. We'll hope to see, if they make it to the Top 15, Cory, Shad and John at an NFR Autograph Session at the MGM in December.
