New York City used to be my sweetheart, but I would now say that London is my mistress of choice, given that the latter is ascendant (largely due to the immense net influx of investment money from abroad) whereas the former is stagnating, even declining, in many respects.

Also, having survived the shockingly brutal Summers in NYC, I don't know how anyone can complain comparatively about the weather in London.

I was in NYC in July this year and man was the heat brutal!

I loved NYC,love America and I will definitely be back, but the summer heat is something else. Really makes me appreciate the English summer/weather. Mild, temperate and no nasty surprises either way.

Using a headline on a Scottish newspaper to sell London is pushing it a bit. They should have used "Freddie Starr ate my hamster".

My favourite is 'Oi Beardy, Give Brit Boys Back' (after Ahmadinejad detained some Brits who strayed over the Iranian border from Iraq), for its willful inelegance.

Sorry, but I dislike the British accent, Left-side drive, the weather, high taxes.
Of course you don't like the left side driving, you're not used to it! But they are considerate and cater to Americans & other righties by adding the arrows on the street

"Look right!"
"Look left!"
Ah, I miss London.

First of all British isn't an accent, secondly Australia & NZ drive on the left (so i'm guessing you don't like Sydney or Auckland) and also New york isn't number one.
