How would the people at the tire store know your address (to later steal the rims) unless you give it to them? I don't give my address when I buy anything, unless it has to be delivered (like furniture).
There is an answer to this problem, It's called a Digital motion detector, if your car can be seen from a window of your house you can use a camera with a controller by your bed. that sends out an invisible screen around your car, or anything else, and anybody passing through that screen will ring an alarm by your bed.
Only if you allow it to be. My car registration (and insurance card, and drivers license, and all my credit cards) has shown only my PO Box address for the past 15 years. If someone steals my car or my purse, the only way they will be able to find out where I live is if they can hack into the actual DMV computer system "innards."
yeah wheel locks... even my '95 has them on. Deterrent = move on to the next vehicle.
