Ice Cube is from South Central, not Compton. That's why I thought his diss of Cypress Hill for not being from South Central ("y'all hoes from South Gate") was stupid, because South Gate borders South Central. So if he can be on an album called "Straight Outta Compton" when he's from South Central, which borders Compton, it seems inconsistent...

Evidently. Then that's where Dre is from as well. I remember him saying that Eazy was a big baller where he lived.

Back in the day Compton used to average 80-90 murders a year. Now its down to 30-40 murders a year.

South Gate doesn't border South-Central Los Angeles. Watts and Walnut Park have their own identities and aren't South-Central. Lots of space between Central Ave and Alameda St.

Those neighborhoods do have their own identities, but they are considered part of South Central, or as it's now called, "South Los Angeles."

Exactly I don't know how anyone could think Watts wasn't apart of South L.A regardless of whatever separate identity it may have. Watts is part of South L.A.
