They escorted me all the way to the freeway to make sure I got out alive.
Dang the police never did that for me..The nicest thing they did for me was let me get away with a ticket because I had my military uniform on. Talk about privilege..

Can't wait till Boyle Heights gentrifies and becomes more diverse.

BoHe Lofts with a yoga studio and pressed juice bar on the first floor .

WOW, this advice is what leads people to being naive and ending up where they shouldn't be. "CRIME IS PRETTY RARE"

If you wanna say murder is rare right now, fine. But Compton alone had 545 violent crimes over the last 6 months. I wouldnt call that rare.

Add in white boys who have never stepped foot in LA or probably even CA, and think walking around with their smart phone filming stuff makes them an independent film company.
The above is true. Bad areas in LA County can look very deceiving where as the east coast with all the old architecture looks like crap, often even in the nicer areas.

And if you're really doing a legit documentary, walking around with that smart phone ain't cutting it.

Great point, Jack. People forget that "back in the day" when L.A. was being developed, the same builders who built homes in Beverlywood or Miracle Mile also built the same houses in Watts before it became WATTS. Same with Compton, the homes look very nice mostly.
