Here are a couple of photos I found in one of my many boxes of pictures I have. The river is the Little Madawaska I THINK, wither that or it is one up by Dickey. The snow foreground with blurred cabin in the background is a mystery to me. I cannot remember where I took that photo to save my life. Too many winters, too many photos ago I guess.

Before anybody asks, yes I intended to have the cabin out of focus. That way it isn't anybodies in particular, and everybody who sees it can picture themselves coming home to it on a cold winters day. No distinguishing features = no preconceived ideas of the condition, location, or other personal details. It is all up to the viewer to fill in those blanks for themselves.

Thanks Bydand! I put the cabin photo up as my background. It's very pretty.

I have it as my background also; I love it. I love how thickly the snow has thatched all the twigs on the branches! Sometimes looking at life just a bit out of focus or through a blur, can be really lovely! Absolute definition and clarity can work against imagination--

Verseau, I love the pictures ,especially the Damariscotta harbor shot. As teenagers, we spent a lot of weekends in the area.
