Heavy snow in Caribou at 5 pm.

By this time last year, there had been almost three feet of snow. So far this year, we have had a few inches.

Y0u just keep thinking that..... and then suddenly you’ll get howling winds and 4 feet of drifting snow. Its how it works.

Remember, on the winter of 15-16 we got almost nothing until January 26, and then the sky dropped out for 10 straight weeks and we got 155 inches in BH. i wore out an old snow blower with it.

Past is not future.

You guys ready for a snowstorm? Houston and the south Texas coast got one last night, why not us, right?

Big changes past 24hrs with a west shift in the coastal storm which means more areas of snow on land.

Latest snow total forecast.

Not much chance of this on the coast. Temperatures will remain above freezing for most of the time. My relatives live in San Antonio and Friendswood,Texas, and the sent picture of about an inch on the ground and more in the trees. We’ll be lucky if we get that Downeast.

WE’LL HAVE MORE OF THIS BECAUSE THE CLIMATE IS WARMING. The colder and snowier it gets the more the climate is warming.

Intellicast says 5-8 for Bar harbor. I have a friend who lives on the Gulf in Mississippi. She sent a picture of their house with an inch of snow on the ground. Of course tomorrow it will go back up to 80 degrees.

Paul Cousins at Maine Public Classical is now saying 6-8 for downeast. Intellicast say 5-8 for BarHarbor. Wunder weather says 5 for bar Harbor.

But the normally wildly freaky Caribou NWS says 2 inches for Bar harbor.

There you go. I will tell you what I got on Sunday night. No wind, so there won’t be any power outage, which is good since my generator doesn’t come on-line until Thursday when Emera comes.

Snowing at my house now, but until the temperature drops below freezing, which won’t be for quite awhile, it won’t amount to a small hill of beans. Looks pretty though.
